Naomi Luna Bolten is a 23-year-old German filmmaker and creative director based in Munich. Her creative journey began at RMIT University in Melbourne, where she studied fine art painting and photography — a foundation that gave her a deep and painterly eye for composition, light, and visual intention. Returning to Germany, she channelled that visual language into filmmaking, where it found its fullest expression.
Her experience spans both the artistic and the professional. Having worked in the editorial department at ProSieben Entertainment, she understands what it means to create under pressure, at pace, and with purpose. At the core of her practice is a relentless passion for concept development and frame composition. By weaving together her backgrounds in painting, photography, and film, she brings a multi-layered understanding of the image — not just how a frame looks, but what feeling it conveys, and why. Every visual decision is deliberate, emotionally considered, and rooted in a genuine understanding of how pictures move people.
"In the end, people want to see movies with words they're afraid to say — feeling understood, and taken in by the image that succeeds in expressing their emotions beyond the ordinary."
